St. Joseph’s College conducted Yoga – Asanas programme
The session began at 10:30 am with a prayer song, setting a calm and spiritual tone for the day. The President of the department, Mr. Rufus, welcomed the gathering with a warm and insightful welcome address, emphasizing the importance of yoga in achieving inner peace and balance.
The resource person, Dr. P. Ramesh, Assistant Professor, Department of Physical Educcation , St. Joseph’s College is an expert in yoga and well-being, was honoured with a memento by Dr. S. Banumathi , Assistant Professor & Club Incharge of our department as a token of gratitude and appreciation. Following this, Dr. Ramesh conducted a highly engaging and practical yoga session, guiding students through a series of asanas aimed at enhancing flexibility, focus, and mental calmness.
During the session, students actively participated and experienced various asanas for physical well-being with its benefits. At the end, interactive session was held where students clarified their doubts and asked for guidance on continuing their yoga practice at home.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Ms.Mahalakshmi, the Vice President of the department, acknowledging the contributions of the resource person, faculty members, and enthusiastic participants.
